Pretty by Nature

Clean Slate

by Noel Boehm on March 11th, 2008

Here is a newsflash. It may rock your world. Ready. Some people don’t wash their hands. They scratch their butts, eat with their hands, wipe their noses and then spread their cruddy germs everywhere. Another news flash. I have one of these people in my life and I adore him anyway. It’s my little crumb snatcher. He’s a germ factory. Subsequently everything he contracts, he then spreads to his loving parents. Having been the healthiest child on the planet with the constitution of an ox, this has been a shock to my system to say the least.

But what do you do when you’re not near a sink? Turn to the ever pervasive P stuff? All that alcohol and whatever else is in it drys out my hands and smells bad. I hate using it. You need to eat a peck of dirt before you die right, so maybe I should just let it go. Can’t; too neurotic. So imagine my glee when I had the chance to try CleanWell antibacterial products. They are alcohol free and don’t contain harsh chemicals. I’m really vocal about the fact that regular soap and warm water does a great job. However, there are times when you feel like you need something else. I can’t tell you how many times I have had fecal matter on me. Yes, FECAL MATTER. In that moment you are all about the antibacterial. Poo is not sexy. Germs don’t make you look good. Sickness is the enemy of beauty, no?

So to spread the joy I am giving away FOUR coupons for a free bottle of CleanWell antibacterial handwash. All you have to do is respond with the answer to the question below by March 18th. A winner will be chosen at random from those who answer correctly. It’s easy. I promise I won’t make you write an essay about what cleanliness means to you. Please wash your hands before you answer.

What is the proper length of time you should take to wash your hands using the Mayo Clinic’s guidelines?

15-20 seconds…or sing Happy Birthday twice and that’s good! That’s how I’m teaching my kids plus they like to sing!

Hygiene is the first and foremost thing that one should understand. This is also the important principle of any beauty treatment.

So finally at the ripe old age of 31 I know how to properly wash my hands. It’s funny how FREE stuff gives the incentive to learn new things.

“Rub your hands vigorously together for at least 15 to 20 seconds.”
My hands will be sparkly and grime free from now on.

15-20 seconds… or in my case, the length of time it takes to sing twinkle twinkle little star.

I just bought the hand sanitizer which I love. Gimme!!! :)

The length of time it takes to sing Happy Birthday.

By the way, do they have this stuff in stores? I’ve been hearing about it for awhile, and I guess I could order it online, but I’d rather just go buy it if you can get it anywhere. Or you can just send me one :)

    Mary,

It actually is now available in Target. I don’t know if it’s every Target but I think it should be readily available in most which is great. Hehe, I’ll just slip one in the mail for you LOL

I’m not entering, but I just tried this out myself and did a review over at Tree Hugging Family (yet I didn’t talk about poo!). I do like the soap, but the sanitizer spray was my fave. You have to try it. So much better than Purell.

wash for 15-20 seconds. Alcohol free sounds good. Purell is sooo drying. I only wish it listed the ingredients on the website. I can’t find it anywhere.

At least 1 to 2 minutes are required for hand washing compared with 15 to 30 seconds for the alcohol hand-rub technique.
