Come With Me to Strawberryland
At long last I have returned. I am finally, FINALLY in my new house after the longest, most painful move ever. Fortunately the Big Man and I managed to not kill each other and the Bug was surprisingly cooperative. Besides getting a little teary eyed during one of those full circle life moments as we ate dinner on the floor in the now bare dining room, as we had done our first night there, it was less emotional than expected. In fact, I am giddy with the idea of a new beginning and a fresh start. Of course, I had to try something new this morning to go with my fresh start.
Partly because I am so dead tired and partly because we’re still living out of boxes, I tried to find something that was quick and few on ingredients. I crushed about four strawberries in a bowl with the back of a fork, added a teaspoon of honey and about two tablespoons of Greek yogurt. I smeared it on my face and holed myself up in the bathroom for 20 minutes then washed it off with cold water and a washcloth. Talk about refreshing. I am definitely going to try this one again. I could swear my skin felt softer after and a little moist. My skin has been super dry the past few days so I need something nourishing and this is. I think I would probably have to do it a few more times to see the best results but for now I am happy. So go get some strawberries today. You can make some strawberry shortcake with the rest of the basket. Oh and then bring me some.
