Everyone’s Going Green
It’s seems you can’t turn around these days without seeing eco-friendly this or green that. As people become more aware of what’s going on with what’s going on in the world today it affects their buying choices. Companies go where the money is obviously so we are now seeing the results of that. It’s the Nalgene effect. Amazon now has Amazon Green which is mostly just a bunch of stuff that was already on Amazon but is now all in one section. The beauty and personal care section is kinda spare but you can get some good stuff there.
They do have lots of tips on how to green areas of your home and easy things you can do to limit your footprint. There’s a
Green 3 feature that allows you to suggest three green products you think everyone should have. Nice little touch. I like that people seem to have put some real thought into their suggestions; like light bulbs and a bicycle. I think the biggest tip would be to find ways to just buy fewer things, which clearly is a problem for me and is something I am working on. This is also a nice resource for people who just don’t live in an area where a lot of these things are available. I have been in that situation and online shopping was pretty much my main option. What are your thoughts on this? Do you think it’s helpful or is it just useless bandwagon hopping on the part of Amazon?
