Giveaway Time: BeeCeuticals Gift Pack

I recently had the opportunity to try out the BeeCeuticals Organics skincare line. I had never heard of it until one of my lovely readers recommended it. I have to tell you that I am hooked. Their Bee-yond Lip Balm is truly emollient and not waxy. Most chapstick like products have this weird taste and they don’t last very long. You could end up reapplying it every 15 minutes. This lip balm on the other hand my friend will change your life.
The Beeyond Body Balm is over the top moisturizing. I’ve been stashing it in my nightstand for lubing my aching dogs at the end of the night. Just a little bit (about a dime size) will cover my feet in a sheath of organic goodness. If I had to compare it to another skincare line who shall remain nameless (sounds like Nurt’s Keys), there really is no comparison. They use certified organic ingredients and are completely paraben and synthetic fragrance free. That last one is a biggie with me. My son has inherited my notoriously sensitive skin and that other company’s baby bee wash and lotion would consistently leave him with an unexplained rash. I believe it was the nondescript fragrance that did it.
So lest you think this is all hype, I am giving away a BeeCeuticals High-Five Kit to two lucky readers. It contains five of their best-sellers, sorry no lip balm, so you can see for yourself. If I’m lying I’m dying. You will also be a convert. To enter just leave a valid comment starting today and ending at 12 noon (CST) next Thursday. The winner will be chosen by random drawing and announced on Friday February 1st. The catch is after you try it you have to come back and let us know how it worked for you. I already know the answer but I will act surprised anyway.

Oh! I’d love to try that body creme. The winter is particularly cruel to my dry skin.
Have you heard or tried any of the hair care line John Masters Orgranics? It’s described as a “luxury organic hair and skin line”, and I’ve a friend who is obsessed.

John Masters Organics is owned by Estee Lauder and there is nothing “organic” about it. They are actually a prime example of what is wrong with the skin care industry. They have a dusting of a few organic ingredients and then they brag about them on the front of the bottle. I was actually duped into buying a bottle for the same reason, I heard about it. Then I read “guar hydroxypropyl trimonium chloride” and “sodium benzoate” in the ingredient list and knew that I had once again fallen for it. Pick me Noel! I want to try BeeCeuticals!

Wow I hadn’t heard that about John Masters, thanks for the info Jocelyn. I really hate deceptive advertizing meant to create a smokescreen. Like the fact that the The Body Shop is now owned by L’Oreal, who still tests on animals. To me it like the old saying goes, “You are the company you keep”. Take billions of dollars from a company that has unethical practices and you have allowed them to corrupt your model. I guess we have to do oue investigative research before we go buy shampoo these days.

I love organics but find that many companies are actually lying about their products being organic or natural. Those two words have become popular buzzwords rather than the truth.
A pet peeve of mine is finding something with a wonderful botanical smell and lovely packaging but then reading the ingredients and finding petrolatum or mineral oil as a main ingredient. My skin HATES that stuff. To me it’s crud, cheap stuff.
I have found what my skin does like is honey so I am wondering how it would like Beeceuticals? My son gave me a very expensive jar of a honey moisturizer imported from France and it is miraculous in what it does for my hands overnight, but I cannot afford to buy more. Perhaps Beeceuticals is a better buy and an American product, which is appealing to me.

I love your blog and should have commented long ago. Not just for a contest. BUT I’m super glad you are doing one. Also I have a question in case you should want to use it for a future question Wednesday. What is THE best way you know of to get your feet moist? I’m a teacher and on my feet all the time and they get so dry and gross. Please help!

I would love to try this product line. I have diabetes and my skin on the bottoms of my feet…. well, does the Grand Canyon give you any idea, you’ll never see me in sandals. My skin is a constant problem. I have two adult children w/Cancer that I am caring for, and must wash my hands dozens of times a day. I can’t find anything that helps my skin. It is red, rough, and it’s embarrassing to touch anyone with them. I could really use trying this product! HELP! Please pick me!

I buy the BeeCeuticals lip balm at the health food store near me. They only have the lip balms there. I would love to try the other products! Their lip balms really are the BEST I have ever tried. Much, much better than Nurt’s Keys, I agree. Or should I say Burt’s Bleach?

Burt’s bleach LOL, I’m going to use that. You guys are really going to make this difficult. By the way, the Beeyond Body balm is like a thick shea butter with honey. You use just a little and warm it up in your hands and it goes a long way. I tried it on my cuticles and it was fantastic.

I knew you’d love it! The lip balm is THE BALM. I’m so funny. By the way I saw it for sale at my local Whole Foods last weekend… I am in Florida as is the company, so I’m not sure if it’s nation-wide but it’s worth looking.
My new favorite is the thyme body lotion.

This sounds like a great product line. I have such sensitive skin it seems like the only color in my fair skinned face is allergy blotches. Thank you for the opportunity to win a try. Its so tuff with allergies you buy something try it, break out and then your out the money. This way you can try it and not worry about losing money if it doesn’t work. Thanks

My review of BeeCeuticals:
There are the good and the less desireable, as with most companies. I really enjoyed the shampoo. It seems gentle. The conditioner wasn’t quite as moisturizing as I’m used to and it left my hair frizzy:( I do like the lotions! They all smell great! I’m planning on trying their baby line when it comes out.
Thanks! Celeste
