Lifestyles of the Rich and Green
I am always on the lookout for the perfect fragrance. Not just any perfume or fragrance but the kind that becomes a signature scent. The kind of fragrance that is subtle but also lingers in a very unobtrusive way. The kind of scent that is so distinctive that when an old lover smells it, he will think of you and no one else. I have found that a lot of people are turned off by the idea of perfume. One reason is the use of alcohol. The alcohol in the perfume is usually the part that makes me gag. There is nothing quite as horrific as being trapped in a confined space with the stench of Red Door slowing cutting off your oxygen supply. Clearly, I am not a fan.
Which brings me to my latest find, organic perfume from Rich Hippie. I will be honest, the prices are quite dear. You can’t accuse them of false advertising. At $250.00 a pop for 1/2 ounce, they are most certainly for people with a large disposable income. Hear me out before you pass judgement. All of their fragrances are made using organic ingredients, including wine alcohol instead of alcohol made from petroleum. They use pre-WWII techniques which means they only produce perfumes of the highest quality. So when you put it in those terms, it really isn’t that bad. I mean how much is your health worth to you? Sidebar: The above is part of the speech I have prepared for my husband when he sees the credit card statement.

Does anyone know of any other fragrance companies devoted to using natural ingredients? Let me know and I will spread the word.
