More Do-It-Yourself Skin Care.

by Teri on June 26th, 2007

You should know by now that I love using home-made, do-it-yourself skin care recipes, and from many of the comments I have received, it seems that many of you are interested in the same.

I recently received some great homemade skin remedies from skin care expert, Raechel Cunningham. Raechel is a licensed aesthetician and director of New York Laser & Aesthetics spa in New York City. She has hand picked some of her favorite fruits for a medley of do-it-yourself, homemade skin-tastic remedies to treat, moisturize and rejuvenate all your skin care needs.

Today, I will share with you her recipes for removing makeup and cleansers.

Remove Olive Your Makeup
For All Skin Types
Ingredients
* Olive Oil
Take a paper towel and fold in half 3 times. Apply a drop of olive oil to paper towel. Keeping your eyes closed, wipe downwards from upper eye lid down. Avoid getting olive oil in the eye.

Cleansers

Fresh Face Cleanser
for Normal/Acneic/Oily
Ingredients
* 1 Tablespoon of plain or vanilla yogurt
* 1/4 Lemon juice.
Mix ingredients together and apply directly onto skin. Massage on to skin and rinse with warm water.

Tea Time Cleanser For Dry/Sensitive Skin
Ingredients
* 1 Chamomile tea bag
Take 1 Chamomile tea bag and moisten it with warm water. Gently massage moist tea bag in tiny circles around face to gently loosen dead skin cells.

I will bring you more of Raechel’s recipes and tips later this week, including a few luxurious homemade masks and exfoliants.
