Say It With Organic Roses
Why are rose petals so soft? I’m not really sure from a chemical standpoint, but rose water is softening and rose oils are supposedly very moisturizing and healing as well. Can flowers be organic? Sure they can, but growing methods vary so I can’t claim everything here is organic but it all works well and smells great! And speaking of smelling, these rose products are not like that stinky Tea Rose perfume that I wore too much of in 7th and 8th grade (Lordy, I loved to spray a bunch of that stuff on–but there was always a large circumference of space around me!) but instead have a fresh, clean, slightly romantic scent. Plus, there is an unparalleled feeling of self-care one gets when applying roses to their skin.
I don’t have a great rose wash for face, but I have two great moisturizers:
Korres Wild Rose 24-hour Moisturizer. As you may or may not know, Korres uses no mineral oil, no propylene glycol, no silicon and they are homeopathic and use active extracts. It’s for a normal skin and I like the fact that I can use it day and night. This jar lasted me a few months and I’m rushing out to buy a new one as soon as I’m done with my
Aubrey Rosa Mosqueta Moisturizing Cream for Dry Skin, which will stand me in better stead for the winter months, I think. The Rosa Mosqueta line of Aubrey’s has a wealth of products like night cream, which is more emollient for the winter months. Did you know it’s important to switch up your moisturizer for the seasons? I’m sure you did. Their night cream rocks if you have super-dry skin.
Now, you’ll have to forgive the mineral oil, but,

Rosebud Salve will keep your lips soft this winter.
Now, this is my favorite product, ever, almost:
Sabon’s Olive Oil Rose Soap. That dark part on top? Those are rose petals. This is the one product that smells really rosey but in the softest way. I love it. You can just go to a Sabon in New York or LA or Israel and have them cut off a piece. But I’m sure you can order it as well over a little thing we like to call the internet.
While you’re drying off, spray a little but of this on as deoderant

Weleda’s Wild Rose deoderant. I like this in the cooler months because, well, it doesn’t really work as anti-antiperspirant and if you sweat too much it will really exude. It was my favorite until I started with the Kiss My Face Liquid Crystal, but I like the option of continual spraying. It’s cooling and it does de-stankify.

Now this Jason Rosewater and Glycerin line (70% Organic) is amazing. The Hand and Body Lotion goes on smooth and doesn’t get sticky, it smooths right in and has the lightest freshest scent to the extent that you might wonder where the roses are–don’t worry, they’re in there.
Enjoy!
