The End Is Near. Let’s Loot The Place
My husband, aka cuppycake, is not your stereotypical guy. By that I mean not the kind of one dimensional guy that seems to run rampant on every college campus and in every bar in the country. You will never catch him watching football on the couch with some hot wings. He will never say, “It’s Miller time”. He’s just not that guy. So imagine my shock when he asked for a subscription to Esquire magazine. Being the smart-ass that I am I replied, “Sure, I’ll order you Maxim and Playboy too.” Snarky much? Anyway, I relented and I must say that I like it too. It’s not all T and A. He does actually read it for the articles…no really.
So cuppycake *snort* recommended an article this month (The Organic Apocalypse) that is a review of Alan Weisman’s, The World Without Us. It’s a pretty interesting, if not a little scary read about the doomsday theory and how the planet Earth will rise again once the wretched have used her up and made ourselves extinct. Fun, fun huh? No really, it makes me want to pick up the book actually. But only when I’m feeling really upbeat and I have a bottle of Xanax handy.
