Hi! My name is Kim Weinstein and I am the owner of www.iamprettynyc.com. That website is all about you being pretty already, not needing one stitch of makeup (okay, let’s be honest, maybe a little concealer!) but if you really must have some makeup, this is the stuff I like. The whole point of that website was to a) let women know they don’t need to function as consumers because they don’t look bad in the first place and b) to showcase my services as a private makeup artist.

Most of my blog is geared toward the natural stuff. I’m suspicious and rebellious by nature, and I hate chemicals. Our environment is a toxic soup these days, I don’t want to be putting cancer-causing products on my body.

I don’t struggle with the natural stuff, I struggle with the cookies and French fries. However, I am a huge proponent of what you put in your body counts on the outside of your body—the skin being the largest eliminative organ you have. So I will be addressing diet and exercise as well.

And what the heck, I am going to throw in things about the environment because that affects our beauty as well.

So sit back, well, actually, sit up straight, relax your shoulders, pull in your lower stomach (It’s more supportive to the lower back and aligns the chakras—yes, I went there) and get ready for a fun, informative and sometimes contentious ride!
